Saturday was the last game of the Eatern Conference Championship. Wednesday the Oklahoma City Thunder wrapped the Western Conference Championship up by beating the San Antonio Spurs, so all that was left was for the winner to be declared out of Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat. At that time Boston looked like the favorite to the Eastern Conference Championship since they were up 3-2 in the series. So game 6 came and went, the Heat won, so the final showdown was set for Saturday. The game started with a powerful performance from Boston. Boston fans thought they had it, I know cause imma Boston fan. Anyway 4th quarter came and it seemed as if Boston lost their drive to win and they lost. Sad, seeing that, that was the last of Boston’s Big 3.
When Doc Rivers saw there was no chance for the Celtics to come back he pulled out his starters for the rest of the game. The players hugged each other on the bench because they had an awesome year and it was over. When it was time to hug it out with the winning team, Garnett and Rondo kept it moving to the locker room. The two didn’t show the Heat no love. Many sports analyst had something to say about that cold no gesture. It was obvious that the two were upset so I don’t see the problem. I mean Lebron acted the same way when he played for Cleveland and they lost against Orlando in their round 1st round of the playoffs. So why does it matter?
Congratulations to the Miami Heat but they still won”t be getting a ring because OKC got this. Game 1 of the NBA Finals is today at 7:30 on ABC. Tune in to watch an exciting quest to be the best.
