By now everyone should know that Nicki Minaj didn’t preform for Hot 97 Summer Jam. She was pulled out of the show by Lil Wayne because she was talked down on by Peter Rosenberg. Peter was like Nicki isn’t hip hop.
       Nicki’s critics had a field day with this. Many celebrities took sides, unlike Dr. Dre. Not west coast Dre but Ed Lover’s partner in crime Dr. Dre.
       Dre felt like Nicki did a disservice to her fans by not performing and I do agree.
       “First of all, Nicki Minaj was the only one who ruined 55,000 fans’ expectations of the night. It has nothing to do with Rosenberg. You go out there and you perform for your fans.”
       That’s that real. I mean who cares what somebody says about you cause people will always have something to say about you.
      Even though Dre had something to say about Nicki he had something to say about Peter Rosenberg too.
       “We have too many what I call ‘semi-super experts’ who always try to redefine hip hop from its infancy. She’s an artist whether I like her or I don’t like her. My daughter loves her and thinks that she’s the world, and that’s the case.”
       I feel that too. Some hip hop heads want it to stay the same but change is inevitable, it’s going to happen. With every generation a new color to hip hop will be painted. So bottomline Nicki hurt her fans because somebody criticized her like that was something new.
