The name of the mixtape is “The Essence” and we are calling it that because it is a collaborative project made up of Rahiem Supreme and a number of other rising artists who all are working mainly for the love of hip hop. These are the guys who may not be getting the Million dollar endorsements and 100,000 views on youtube but are that heart and soul that keeps the culture alive, close to the people and hasn’t reached a superficial level yet! It is what hip hop is really about; That grind to the top while living in relatable circumstances. This is the display of these artists all coming together collaboratively to create hip hop tracks, and asking Rahiem to join them on their personal journey’s. Although hip hop is a competitive genre, “THE ESSENCE” of our culture still lies within the support of our own to reach that common goal.
