Lola Maxwell, is a phenomenal emcee from the Washington,DC area. She has release several mixtapes and is one-of-a-kind woman. Her music can heard on DMVUnplugged.com and several other sites. She is unconventional and worthy of a listen. I have review and listening to her music and have been blow away with the high level of talent. My favorite track would have to be Blasted. “I chose to be an emcee because I like writing and performing. If I wasn’t writing I’d be dancing. I just love the freedom of expression and the reactions from people’s faces when they see or hear my work. Plus, I just feel like the hip hop community and industry need to hear me. I miss the good music from the likes of MC Lyte, Salt N Pepa, Yo -Yo, Lauryn Hill, Biggie, ATCQ, and Nas. I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed with the present music community, but unsatisfied.”
