In recent months we have lost a tremendous amount of talent. Many celebs have been in fatal accidents or just taken ill all of a sudden. Well we can add the King of R&B R.Kelly to that list.
Kelly took ill all of sudden and had to cancel pre arranged engagements. He was supposed to have been present at his book launch for his memoir Soulacoster: The Diary of Me tonight, Wednesday June 27th but had to cancel because he was having complications due to a surgery procedure he had done last year. He also had to cancel and postpone appearances on Jimmy Fallon and the Today Show.
A rep of R.Kelly’s gave a brief explanation of what is going on.
“Initial indications are that he is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords. It is unclear how long Kelly may be sidelined.”
I hope he gets well soon. Also I hope it isn’t severe because to lose Kelly will be affecting a whole other generation. At some point everybody has a jammed a R.Kelly song. Besides him being known for his obvious mishaps, he is the King of R&B. Also his memoir is supposed to hit stores Thursday, June 28.
