Earlier this year, in March we reported that Curren$y the Hot Spitta was taking ole Damon Dash to court and suing for 1.5 million. Spitta filed a lawsuit against Damon because he said that Damon was selling his music without his permission and profiting. Back in 2010 the two stars were supposed to link up and work together but that never happened and that’s how Damon got a hold of Curren$y’s music. Since the lawsuit was filed they did appear in court in front of Federal Judge Andrew Carter, which denied part of the lawsuit where Curren$y felt Dame shouldn’t profit off of his music any longer. Even though it wasn’t looking good for the rapper, Curren$y continued.
It looks like Spitta has forgiven Dame and dropped the lawsuit:
“I rolled that up too, that’s in the ashtray,” he said in an interview with MTV News. “I’m way too cool for a lot of that stuff, because I would always have to talk about it. I didn’t even do it because I didn’t feel like talking about that. So we’ll figure that out. We’re men.”
Since they have put that mess behind them, it is in discussion that Spitta, Dame and Ski Beatz will be working on Spitta’s “Pilot Talk III” together. Well that was a big move for Curren$y and a good business move for Dame. Instead of him being sued for 1.5 million, they can work on making 1.5 million together.
