PNG (Persona Non Grata) is a genre-defining rap group – a unique blend of New York street smarts and down-south swagger. With their roots firmly planted in Brooklyn, several of the group’s members have also spent a good deal of time in the south, and it is this combination of influences that makes their music so original and exciting. The PNG trio – Heedi Blacc, Ill-O, and Ivo Dinero – are the next generation of hip-hop. At 18 years old, the three talented young men have tapped directly into the heart of the city’s youth. With legions of fans in place on the strength of word of mouth “Uncle Black, Aim, Do You like Me featuring Ricky Blaze, and Poof Be Gone” are first in a string of PNG hits to be released by Pimp Gangstars inc. /Business Class inc.
PNG has been on 106 and park BET.COM ON BLAST receiving independent video of the month twice for February and March 2008. Hot 97 DJ Cipha sounds was the first to break their smash hit “Uncle Black” along with DJs Bobby Trendz and Jazzy Joyce. The group also recorded drops for Power 105’s DJ spinbad and has also done several commercials for the radio station as well. June 24, 2008 the trio debuted their single “Uncle Black” on I-tunes receiving numerous sales. PNG began their biggest steps to stardom July 17, 2008 appearing in a 3 page spread article in the New York’s Daily News and also aired on channel 4 NBC’s Nationwide 5’oclock and 7’oclock News all in one day. After conquering media PNG received a pending invitation to attend the Regis and Kelly show and they’ve been recognized by Naim Ali at Warner Bros. Records and Power 105’s radio personality Ed Lover. The Artists now have a new 2009 single titled “Poof Be Gone” and it has generated over 400,000 plays on music site imeem.com in a time span of 4 months. PNG also performed along side big named artist such as Dem Franchise Boyz, Maino, Sheek louch of D-Block, DJ Webstar, Jason Foxx, Bri Beauty and Swagg kidz, Ricky Blaze and a host of upcoming local acts. Last but not least the super group released their mixtape album “Rated PNG” vol.1 hosted and sponsered by DJ Cipha Sounds Hot 97 Big Dawg Pitt Bulls.
On the trio’s off time group members Heedi blacc and Ivo Dinero attend school at Briarcliffe College on Suny Old Westbury campus in Long Island, New York while group member Ill-O lives in Pocono, Pennsylvania attending Continental Academy online courses from home. Within years to come the 3 artist plan on becoming future business men in the music industry, their goal is to introduce a different style of marketable music for the new millennium. It is their Super pioneer manager Terry “Big-T” Manning’s goal for the group to be more successful than any other group in hip hop music history.
