Blackbox Inc.
CEO/President Marcus “Bra`Jo/Joey B.” Cole
In late 2007, Blackbox Inc.™ was founded by CEO/President Marcus “Bra`Jo/Joey B.” Cole. At first only consisting of himself and close friend/producer Christopher “CT” Thomas, these young men were determined to expand the label to new heights. So the search was on for new recruits, but without a good handful to pick from, it was quite difficult from the start.
By shear coincidence CT met Rashawn “Flyboy” McCrea. Upon hearing the talent Flyboy possessed in rapping, CT went ahead the next day to introduce him to Bra`Jo for acceptance into the label. Once Bra`Jo heard the talent in this man, the presence of potential was definitely apparent. Flyboy was taken in as Bra`Jo’s protege` and has been with the Blackbox Inc.™ team ever since.
As time progressed, 3 more recruits were brought in to create the core of Blackbox Inc.™.The recruits, including: Al-T, Shaun “Scoob Du” Hudson-White, & Jaylil “LiL” Byrd, all bring their own trendsetting style to the label.
Bra`Jo and Al-T have been close friends for a couple years, and naturally Joey witnessed the freestyle skills Al-T possessed. Over time, his lyrical prowess progressed and it came to a point where he really earned himself a position in the coalition.
Scoob Du has always been a companion to everyone. Things hadn’t always been Blackbox Inc.™, a team called “Black Squad” had been a strong movement for a while with Scoob Du as one of its leading members. However, when the team disbanded, he decided to go about and create his own team, which he called “Y.B.H.(Young, Black & Hostile). Although this group had strong members, not everyone seemed to be as dedicated as Scoob Du was. An invitation was given to him from Joey B. to join Blackbox Inc., but he wasn’t too quick to accept. As time progressed however, he warmed up to the idea. There was one simple question Joey had to ask before inducting him into the team: “Scoob, what do you want to be when you grow up?” His answer was “A rapper.” That let Joey know that the fact he said a rapper before anything, meant that it was his first priority in what he wants to accomplish in life.
LiL had known Joey for the longest time, however, his lyrical skills still needed improvement before being brought onto the team. Time progressed, and so did his skills. Just like Al-T, it came to a point where Joey was so amazed at his talent, naturally he brought him onto the team.
Blackbox Inc. is what the game needs and without a doubt, everybody will have a name for themselves and you can believe they don’t plan on going anywhere but straight to the top of the game.
